Some of the best winter escapes happen to be beach vacations. Oh, there's nothing better than leaving behind inches of snow and finding yourself on an exotic warm beach hours later. During the cold months, beach vacations in the USA aren't easy to find. The west coast isn't always as warm as I would hope for. But, Hawaii certainly is. Hawaii offers the most spectacular beach vacations you could ever imagine. I have only ever been able to afford to travel to Hawaii one time in my thirty years. But I guarantee that someday, there will be more Hawaii vacations.

I'm a big fan of Caribbean island beach vacations. I've been to some of the nicest of islands and you just can't go wrong with the beaches. Even the Dominican Republic, in its tourist parts, has some gorgeous beaches. The sandy escape of St. Lucia was my personal favorite, though also one of my priciest of beach vacations I've taken. I have a beautiful sunset picture that I personally took in Puerto Rico. For sentimental reasons, Puerto Rico was my favorite of my many lifetime beach vacations. I can't say that it was the best of islands, but my memories there are etched in perfection in my mind.

If you're flexible and don't have your heart set on an expensive island, you can most definitely get a wonderful exotic escape for a reasonable cost. But, if you're looking for the most lavish of beach vacations, well, they are easy to find as well. My dream vacation destination is Turtle Island. If you do some research on Turtle Island, you'll find that you can't stay there for less than $1,000 a night. I would imagine it's a retreat for only the rich and famous and I am definitely not in that category. Perhaps if I would have access to the winning lottery numbers in advance, I could find out exactly what the beaches in Turtle Island really look like up close and personal. Until then, I'll continue to plan affordable beach vacations and be perfectly content exploring more of the Caribbean Islands.
