Lincoln Square Real Estate By Bill Brut XML

Lincoln Square real estate lies in the Ravenswood community of Chicago. One of the city’s most vibrant neighborhoods, Lincoln Square residents appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, beautiful tree-lined streets, inspired architecture, large parks, and the convenient rapid transit system into the downtown Loop. Home styles include old wood-frame Victorians, brick and greystone two- to three-flats, courtyard condominiums, and remodeled walk-ups.

Lincoln Square is known for its collection of public art. Statues, murals, and sculptures from the unusual to the culturally rich beautify the neighborhood. The Lincoln Statue looming over Western and Lawrence depicts Abraham Lincoln dressed as he was on his visit to Chicago. The bronze tiered Giddings Square Fountain sits at the center of Giddings Plaza, inspired by motifs found elsewhere in Lincoln Square. These pieces and more all contribute to the richness of the neighborhood.

Annual events in the neighborhood include May Fest, Summer Concert Series, Folk & Roots Festival, German-American Fest, the Ravenswood Run 5K, Lincoln Square's Farmer's Market, Lincoln Square Applefest and the Lincoln Square Tree Lighting Ceremony. The Old Town School of Folk Music, a movie theater, and part of the Chicago Public Library system are located inside the neighborhood as well.

Schools in Lincoln Square are of the leading urban school district, the Chicago Public Schools, which serve students from kindergarten all the way through high school.
