Humboldt Park Real Estate By Betty Bumgarden XML

Humboldt Park, Chicago real estate lies in one of Chicago’s largest communities. Humboldt Park is located west of Bucktown, on the Northwest side of Chicago.

Many of the community’s dwellings are large, old Victorian and Colonial houses, untouched and weathered nicely since their construction in the late 1800’s. Many of the larger ones, becoming dilapidated over time, are being restored to their original grandeur. Redevelopment of the community has produced many conversions and new constructions, namely more modern multi-unit buildings.

The massive 207-acre Humboldt Park which lies inside of the community offers residents a chance to relax, with many opportunities for activity, including a baseball field, a gym, jogging paths, an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, and an ice skating rink for winter-time amusement. The park also provides residents free events catering to children.

While not far from the trendier neighborhoods of Wicker Park and Bucktown, Humboldt Park has many of its own shops and restaurants. The majority of restaurants offer Mexican cuisine, though there are plenty of chances to dine American-style. The neighborhood’s jazz and blues lounges are often frequented by residents, as they are a stylish way to kick back relax after hours.

As it is a young family-oriented neighborhood, schooling is important for to-be parents. Fortunately, Humboldt Park offers a number of options for education. Various public, private, religious, and high schools are available to residents, all offering quality education.
